The Special Issue
Australian and New Zealand Journal of Art, Issue 1 for 2020, War, Art and Visual Culture will be edited by Professor Charles Green, School of Culture and communication, University of Melbourne; Professor Ana Carden-Coyne, Centre for the Cultural History of War, University of Manchester; Associate Professor Kit Messham-Muir, School of Media, Creative Arts and Social Inquiry at Curtin University; and Dr. Uros Cvoro, senior lecturer UNSW Art & Design.
This Special Issue of ANZJA is part of Art in Conflict, a three-year ARC Linkage project led by Curtin University in partnership with the Australian War Memorial (AWM) and National Trust (NSW) and in collaboration with an international academic team from University of Melbourne, University of New South Wales and University of Manchester.
Journal Aims and Scope
The Australian and New Zealand Journal of Art (ANZJA) is published by the Art Association of Australia and New Zealand (AAANZ) with the support of the Centre of Visual Art (CoVA), University of Melbourne. AAANZ is Australia’s professional body for art and design historians, arts writers, artists, students of art history and theory, and museum professionals. The ANZJA is Australasia’s principal refereed art-history journal. The Journal is dedicated to the study of art history, art practice, theory and exhibition.
